1. ICTlist.org – What is it?
ICTlist.org is a hitherto unique web portal for people interested in information and communications technology. You may also link your ICT publications on the website and thus make them available and accessible to others. It is possible to search by key word, author name or category. You also have the option of writing a comment or commenting on a comment. Registration is only required if you want to post a link or write a comment. Registration is uncomplicated, requiring simply your name and email address which will of course not be distributed to anyone outside ICTlist.org.
2. What can be the interest in linking my publications on ICTlist.org?
ICTlist.org is intended users worldwide. The posting of links and abstracts is free of charge and easy, ICTlist.org offers thus an excellent chance to present your own papers to an international public with just a couple of mouse clicks. It can also be worthwhile placing several links. If a user does a search and finds an abstract, he can call up other publications by the same author.
3. Who uses ICTlist.org?
ICTlist.org is mainly used by scientists, researchers and students. But it is also used by people who just like to keep up with the latest developments in ICT. Basically we are glad to welcome every visitor and active user to our site.
4. What are the conditions for getting my publication linked on ICTlist.org?
To get linked on ICTlist.org the abstract, thesis, dissertation etc. must have been published at least once by a publishing company. Publication only on your own website is not adequate. So ICTlist.org is unsuitable for the first publication of a scientific text. ICTlist.org only allows linking to texts whose content is serious and legal. A certain scientific and professional standard is required; this will be checked by the experts from the Hasso Plattner Institute before the link is posted.
5. How long will it be until I find my link on ICTlist.org?
Publication does not occur immediately because of the quality check (see Question 4). However, the link should be checked and online within 24 hours. We kindly ask you not to contact our editors before this.
6. Why is my link not being published?
There could be several reasons for this:- your paper has not previously been published by a print or online publishing house,
- the content of the text does not meet expectations in terms of seriousness or technical expertise,
- the content of the paper veers too far away from ICT issues.
7. What should I do if I see a dubious link or comment on ICTlist.org?
Please contact the web editorial office directly (contact details can be found in the imprint) or write a comment on the link/comment in the open text field below it.
8. How much does it cost to post or download a link?
Nothing: using ICTlist.org doesn’t generate any costs (except of course the charges for your internet provider, i.e. for general access to the web).
9. Are further features planned for the site?
Yes. There are plans for additional interactive features, e.g. an API, a forum, a various export interfaces and a project exchange.
10. Why should I use ICTlist.org for my research?
ICTlist.org is a unique internet research platform specializing in ICT. The website maintains high standards regarding usability and the quality of linked texts. Linked papers present the latest findings in the international scientific community in the field of ICT.
